Pinterest, TikTok Accounts Very Likely Promoting Prescription-Less Ozempic Sales in Comments and Posts
We identified two websites that state they are "Authorized FIFA ticketing partners," and two companion TikTok accounts advertising FIFA World Cup tickets and hospitality packages for sale.

Key Finding
By searching for “Ozempic,” we found three Pinterest and 12 TikTok accounts that are very likely promoting the sale of the drug without a prescription through posts and comments. These accounts typically solicit direct messages or direct users off-platform to Telegram, WhatsApp, or, in one instance, an external website for purchases. Selling prescription medications without valid prescriptions is illegal in the U.S.
Online Activity
- The 15 accounts present as pharmacies or doctors, but are very likely illegitimate, as they do not provide websites for verification and instead link solely to Telegram or WhatsApp. Their profile pictures, usernames, and bios often include drug- or pharmacy-related language, such as “pillz” or “GPHC-Certified.” GPhC stands for General Pharmaceutical Council, a legitimate U.K. regulatory body.
- On Pinterest, searching “Ozempic” surfaced three pins displaying the drug, its packaging, or similar drugs for Type 2 diabetes. Comments on the pins promoted Telegram accounts. One account posing as retired U.S. Army Gen. Austin Scott Miller left the same comment on two pins: “I was always from @Privateaccount1548 on telegram without a prescription.” It also left a separate comment promoting a different Telegram account.
- Accounts called Pocket Pillz on Pinterest (now removed) and TikTok promoted in their bios the website pocketpillz[.]com for purchases. We previously found the Pinterest account promoting methamphetamine sales.
- On TikTok, searching “Ozempic” surfaced three videos providing information about the drug, its administration, or showing weight loss results. On these videos, comments like “I need it” prompted replies from accounts promoting Telegram accounts or WhatsApp numbers.
- Searching for “semaglutide” did not surface relevant content on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, or Threads.
